With new indie artists like The Cool Kids and Kidz in the Hall, younger generations are beginning to catch on to the Leader of the New Cool movement. I noticed this gentleman last year at school. I was intrigued by his gift of style at such a adolescent age. I left my previous school this year but we were reunited on Myspace. I wanted to know more about him and decided to do an interview. WTW: What's your name and where are you from?
T: TJ; Springfiled, Massachusetts. I currently reside in Atlanta, GA.
WTW: Tell me a little more about yourself.
T: Uuuummmmm let me think..I like playing video games, I skateboard a little bit, but one thing about me is that im addicted to Nikes. Lol. I've been into sneakers and clothes since I've been in middle school and it just stuck with me. Right now I own about 30 pairs on sneakers.
WTW: I saw you all the time last year at school and thought to myself "Who is this fresh kid? T: And where did he come from?" Where or from who did you get style from? Who are your influences?
I get some of my style from the culture and the way people dressed in the 90'sSome of my influences are Kanye, Pharrell, Jonas Bevacqua(owner of LRG), Young Dro, and Carlton [from Fresh Prince] Lol.
WTW:I frequently check What's One Wearing. I happened to see your face on there. How did it feel being featured?
T: It felt good being featured whatsonewearing.com. To tell the truth I was shocked when I saw it because I didnt think they would pick my picture. But it feels good to go on a website and see my picture on it, especially a website that is fashion based.
WTW:I noticed on your myspace page that you started a clothing line. Tell me more about that.
T: Me, my brother, and cousin were just talking about how we could look at clothes and just picture how we could make clothes better and then we thought of the name and we just took off from there.
WTW: What is your fall must-have for fashion?
T: I gotta get a Louie V scarf for the fall.
WTW: What are your dreams and aspirations in life?
T: I wanna own a successful clothing line that is classic and never goes out of style, similar to Ralph Lauren. I want every piece that I design to be timeless. I also want to own a movie production company because I plan on making documentaires in the future.
